Shiraz is one of the original varieties planted in the Coonawarra, once there was more Shiraz than Cabernet in the ground! Quite the fact. The unique combination of the terra rossa soils and Shiraz are iconic and one of our region’s best kept secrets. We don’t grow Shiraz on our Abbey Vineyard, but we work with the Kidman and McLeod family in Northern Coonawarra to source fruit for this Shiraz. It’s medium bodied in style with plenty of spice thanks to the cooler year.
